Quorn Pieces Yakisoba

Yakisoba is a traditional Japanese recipe of stir-fried noodles packed with a range of vegetables and tossed in a special tasty sauce – what’s not to love? We've created a version here using Quorn Pieces especially for you - perfect for a quick lunch or evening dinner.

Ingredients

  • 280g Quorn Pieces
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1/2 bunch of spring onions
  • 1/2 small cabbage head
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 454g yakisoba noodles
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 tbsp vegetarian worcester sauce

Method

  1. Combine sugar, soy, oyster sauce, ketchup and worchester sauce and set aside
  2. Prepare the vegetables by cutting into fine batons
  3. Cook noodles as per package instructions
  4. In a wok or large saucepan fry off all the vegetables for a few minutes to give a little colour
  5. Add sautéed veggies, Quorn Pieces and the sauce ingredients to the pan and cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes and serve

Chefs tip

Rinse your freshly cooked noodles with lots of cold water so they don’t stick together when you add to the sauce
