Quorn mycoprotein is used as an ingredient in all Quorn products. It is made from a natural, nutritious fungus, and is high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and contains no cholesterol. Producing Quorn mycoprotein requires 90% less land, water and carbon emissions than producing animal proteins, so it's also good for the health of our planet. Find out more here.
There are a number of Quorn products which are Halal approved. As Quorn is a meat free brand, this is to ensure there is no alcohol used in either the products or the process of manufacture. For a full list of halal products, please get in touch with our customer service team.
As all of our products are produced at manufacturing sites which handle alliums, we wouldn’t advise eating Quorn if you are sensitive to these ingredients.
If you do not have an allergy but choose to avoid these ingredients, please get in touch with our customer service team who can provide a full list of products which contain garlic and onion.

We're proud to say nearly all of our products are green or amber for salt and the small number of exceptions to this are where we try to make it as simple as possible to swap from processed meat to meat free. We always try to minimise the amount of salt in our products.

Quorn mycoprotein, an ingredient in all Quorn products, is a nutritious protein that can form part of a healthy, balanced and varied diet. It is high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and contains no cholesterol. This high-quality protein contains all nine essential amino acids which are not produced in the body and must be obtained through the food we eat. Studies suggest that Quorn mycoprotein may help maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels and may have beneficial effects on blood glucose and insulin, hunger and energy intake. Quorn mycoprotein also contains a variety of vitamins and minerals including potassium, calcium & phosphorus, and smaller amounts of selenium, magnesium & zinc.
You’ll see natural flavourings in the ingredients list of most of our products. Natural flavourings are extracted from vegetables and are not chemically modified or changed in any way. The flavourings we use are 100% derived from natural sources.
As part of a varied and balanced diet, the inclusion of Quorn products is perfectly safe to introduce to babies and young children.
All Quorn products are suitable to eat during pregnancy.
To provide some additional reassurance, all Quorn ready to eat products go through a pasteurisation (heat treatment) process making them completely safe for pregnant women. All the milk, whey and vegetarian cheeses, used in our products also goes through a pasteurisation process.
All Quorn ready to heat products have had their cooking instructions validated to ensure that they produce a safe product to eat, therefore as long as you follow the recommended cooking instruction, they are perfectly safe for pregnant women.
Some of our Quorn products are kosher and have gained Kosher approval with the Manchester Beth Din. Please visit the Manchester Beth Din website and search 'Quorn' for details of our approved products.
We use pea protein and pea fibre in quite a few products to help create a great texture. When we use these ingredients, we will always include them within the ingredients list. You can find the ingredients list on the packaging when you’re shopping in store, or scroll down to the ingredients section on our product pages.
Yes, Quorn mycoprotein is a complete protein. We know it’s a really a high-quality protein as the PDCAAS score for Quorn mycoprotein is 0.99 of a possible 1.0, which is more than beef at 0.921. The PDCAAS sounds fancy but it’s really just a scientific method for scoring protein quality which looks at the essential amino acids, and how easily these are digested and utilised by us humans.

You'll see from the nutritionals on pack that most of our products are already low in sugar. We use sugar when necessary to create food which tastes great, whilst also being good for our health and kind to our planet. We do not believe any particular ingredients (even sugar) are good or bad but nothing should be used excessively.
We use our super protein, Quorn mycoprotein, which does not contain soy, as the main ingreident in the majority of our products.
Occasionally, we’ll use ingredients derived from soy, such as soy sauce or edamame beans. When we do use these ingredients we are committed to only using certified sustainable, deforestation-free soy which is why we require all suppliers to provide certification for any soy derived ingredients we purchase from them.
Many Quorn products are low in saturated fat. Where this is the case, we call this out on the front of our packs, to make it as easy as possible for you to choose healthier products.
There are currently a few Quorn products which are manufactured on sites which also handle nuts. Where this presents a risk, this is detailed on the ingredients declaration on the back of pack, in bold type.
Quorn sausage casings or 'skins' are vegan and are made from sodium alginate (derived from seaweed). We use this casing as it helps the sausage keep its shape and crisp up when cooked.
